Now in its 45th year, the 2025 ASICS Gold Coast Marathon attracted tens of thousands of enthusiastic runners. Shokz Fuels GCM Greatest Run

The ASICS Gold Coast Marathon, one of Australia’s most prestigious international road races, was held from July 3rd to 6th, 2025. The event once again broke records, attracting runners from 49 countries to Queensland. It features eight races, including ASICS Gold Coast Marathon (42km), China Airlines Half Marathon (21km), Wheelchair Marathon and other shorter races.

As the official headphone partner, Shokz launched a series of activities around the race day, building on last year's success and creating more meaningful connections with running communities.

One month before the race, as excitement building, Shokz launched a campaign inviting runners to share their favourite songs for running and training. Thousands poured in, and Shokz curated a special Gold Coast Marathon playlist featuring 70 most popular songs to motivate runners from the start point to the finish line.

Try Shokz’s Latest, Lightest Ever

On July 3rd, Shokz joined the Marathon Expo with an exciting showcase. This year, Shokz introduced OpenFit 2+ and OpenDots ONE for trial, which were officially released on the same day. Designed for all-day wearing, both models feature light weight and exceptional comfort.

Runners were invited to experience them and other flagship headphones first-hand, with team of experts providing guidance. From wearing comfort to music performance, visitors experienced the latest Open-Ear magic that make Shokz the choice of runners.

Shokz booth drew attention with the huge OpenRun Pro 2 model -- visitors posed with playful gestures, capturing fun moments before race day. The cowbell giveaway also sparked enthusiasms, with the cheers all along the race.

Shake-Out With Shokz On! 

During the GCM weekend, Shokz teamed up with Hedges Run Club to kick off the morning at Mermaid Beach with a Shake-Out Run. The activation offered participants an exclusive chance to try on OpenFit 2+ and OpenDots ONE. The club members were amazed and said that the earbuds are “light, secure, and perfect for every stride”.

This year, Shokz teamed up 28 passionate runners for 2025 ASICS Gold Coast Marathon, whose journey echoed the spirit of Shokz and testified the motivating power of music.
